Divan Beds

1. What are the main characteristics of a divan bed?

Divans tend to be the most popular choice of bed. They offer good comfort and value for money, with the bonus of additional storage space. Divan beds are available with drawer storage in the base, or a lift up Ottoman storage function.

The base of a divan bed comprises of a timber frame that is covered in fabric. It has castors or solid legs. The divan base is available in platform or sprung edge options. Divan beds with a platform offer a more solid and firm base for the mattress. The timber frame of sprung edge divans feature an additional built-in layer of springs in the base, to provide softer support.
